I believe the stock of Smith and Wesson will increase dramatically when they move to franchise their brand through a nationwide network of stores framed around the product.

Not an expert on S&W stock, but if anyone thinks President-elect Obama won't try to take away our guns in better political circumstances, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn for sale. One or two throw-away lines during the Campaign don't mask an entire political career of total hostility to law-abiding gun-owners.

I think the surge in gasoline prices put off a lot of hunters this year. I noticed that here in Colorado, there seemed to be a marked decline in out-of state hunters- and those guys like to buy new rifles before going out on an out of state trip. I would also surmise that with the uncertainty in the auto industry(UAW hunts a lot) and the general trend in unemployment, there will continue to be declines in hunting sales.
