I noticed that here in Colorado, there seemed to be a marked decline in out-of state hunters- and those guys like to buy new rifles before going out on an out of state trip. I would also surmise that with the uncertainty in the auto industry(UAW hunts a lot) and the general trend in unemployment, there will continue to be declines in hunting sales.
