Unfortunately, no matter how well I scanned the outgoing fax page, FaxItNice's uploading software reduced the the quality so much that the fax was nearly unreadable by the recipient. And maybe I should have paid closer attention to their privacy policy. I guess my thinking was just that for a service that I barely use -- not many people still send faxes these days, since PDFs are so much easier -- it's not really worth spending a lot of money on. When they raised their price, it reminded me that I wasn't using it enough. Had they left it alone, I would still be a customer. Fair enough. They aren't altruistic. They're making money off you somehow. If you aren't giving them money, they're using you to get money from someone else. What about you are they selling to get that money?
