Maybe I thought, well freelancers have access to their on unions or guilds. And there are those Net things for freelancets. Guess Timers love their new digs, esp food cafe, that they can't be bothered with trivia like balancing the books. Read Gretchen Morgenson on private equity buying up rent controlled/stabilized apts to fix up & jack rents. Interesting enough piece but more of as subject usually covered by the rookie beat? She made her mark on big picture econ issues, nat'l and internat'l. Maybe NYT doesn't want to pay her freight? Thanks again for info.
